BMW BMW Group's Capital Market Day release states: 'Through the efficient use of artificial intelligence, the company aims to align itself even more systematically for agility and effectiveness across all departments and corporate levels. This calls for significantly leaner management structures and a reorganisation of the divisions. By the middle of next year, the BMW Group will reduce the number of divisions and associated management roles by 20 percent, with a comparable reduction at the organisational levels below.'

Oracle Oracle's quarterly report on Form 10-Q states: 'During fiscal 2026, our management approved, committed to, initiated and further supplemented plans to restructure to implement certain strategic measures and further improve operational efficiencies, including through the adoption and integration of artificial intelligence technologies across certain functions and other operational activities' and 'Subsequent to August 31, 2026, our management supplemented the 2026 Restructuring Plan by approximately $700 million to reflect additional actions that we expect to take.'

Commerzbank Commerzbank's May 8, 2026 press release: "In the next phase of development, Commerzbank will consistently deploy AI agents to support entire processes – ranging from account switching and know-your-customer (KYC) procedures and document checks to the drafting of contracts. This will significantly reduce labour-intensive tasks." and "The Bank’s continued transformation is accompanied by a Group-wide reduction of around a further 3,000 gross positions." CEO Bettina Orlopp told dpa on May 15 that AI would account for a "very large part" of the cuts.

Bank of America CFO Alastair Borthwick, prepared remarks, Q3 2026 earnings call (October 14, 2026): "We also invested in technology modernization, AI, client acquisition, marketing, and franchise growth. At the same time, productivity continues to improve, as evidenced by our headcount. Even as we add headcount in our sales forces, our headcount was down nearly 3,500 from a year ago as we automate processes and simplify work across the company. This means we don't need to hire quite as many people to refill roles." CEO Brian Moynihan, same call, answering a question on AI deployment: "If you look year-over-year, the total expense base was up $1.2 billion and the headcount was down 3,000 round numbers." "How do we maintain that kind of 1%-2% expense growth with all the investments we are making. We are open five branches in Milwaukee this month and things like that, more headcount front client facing. That is by engineering both through engineering process, through AI application, et cetera. You see it already in the numbers, and we expect to continue going forward" "AI has helped us." "We are going to continue to invest in driving the growth in the franchise, and AI is a major part of that. Say, $300 million going to $700 million, headcount down by 3,000, 1.5% year-over-year. Managers down by about 5% in that, and production teammates that are doing the client-facing work are actually up year-over-year."
Financial Services
UnitedHealth Group Q3 2026 prepared remarks: "We have expanded AI-enabled chart summarization to more than 40% of our employed clinicians, reducing chart review time by 33%"; capital priorities: "first, reinvest in the business through targeted organic growth and steady expansion in care delivery, technology modernization and broad-based AI adoption".
Healthcare
Globant Q2 2026 earnings call: savings from the optimization program "will be reinvested to fuel our growth engines, specifically our AI platform development and our people." Management said headcount is down roughly 10% year over year with revenue per head up almost 10%.
IT Services & Consulting
Citigroup Q3 2026 earnings call: "our own adoption of AI is both earning and saving us money ... we're launching new products at lower cost and faster speed, typically seeing a 30% to 40% increase in the speed of product launches." "We've been in-sourcing work and have reduced our tech vendor spend by 30% year-over-year as a consequence." "This year alone, we're seeing the financial benefits from AI and automation significantly outweigh the investments we've made year-to-date."
Financial Services
Remote TechCrunch: Remote reports "a 50% increase in revenue per employee resulting from AI adoption." "This has reduced Remote's hiring plans, but hasn't caused any job cuts, van der Voort says."
