The AI Dividend Tracker · Q4 2026 · Prototype. Classifications and index values are illustrative and not investment advice.

Methodology

The AI Dividend Tracker asks one question: when a company says AI made it more efficient, what does it say it did with the gain?

Sources

Public statements only.

  • We use only public statements: earnings-call remarks, shareholder letters, press releases, published memos and on-the-record interviews.
  • Every entry links to a public source. Where possible, that is the company’s own publication. When the original is paywalled or posted on social media, we cite reputable reporting of it.
  • Quotes are verbatim unless marked paraphrase. We paraphrase only when we cannot verify the exact wording from a public source.

Classification

Cut
-1
Reinvest
+0.5
Grow
+1

Each statement gets one primary classification, based on the outcome management describes, not on what analysts infer:

  • Cut (score -1): the gain is taken as fewer roles, contractor reductions, hiring freezes justified by AI, or explicit cost savings.
  • Reinvest (score +0.5): savings are redeployed into other roles, capabilities or reskilling, and headcount stays flat or rises.
  • Grow (score +1): the gain is framed as more output, faster product development or new revenue, not cost reduction.

Mixed statements are classified by their dominant stated effect. The rationale on each company page explains the call.

The AI Dividend Index

Index = round( ((mean score + 1) ÷ 2) × 100 )

The index is the mean score across tracked companies, rescaled from −1…+1 to 0…100.

A value of 50 means cuts and growth offset each other. Below 50, gains mostly go to cuts. Above 50, they mostly go to reinvestment and growth. Sector indices use the same formula on each sector’s companies.

Limitations

Stated intent, not audited outcomes.

  • This is a prototype. The sample is small and not representative, and companies are equally weighted.
  • What executives say is not always what they do. The index measures stated intent, not audited outcomes.
  • Statements made at different dates are compared side by side. Later statements may supersede earlier ones.

Corrections

If an entry misquotes, misdates or misclassifies a statement, tell us and we will review it. Material corrections will be noted on the entry.
